What has been your highlight of 2019
It has to be running my London GFA at Manchester Marathon. It was such a massive goal and a race than I trained my socks off for so achieving that goal was such an amazing feeling! It was also the best race of my life and managed to smile from start to finish, I loved every minute of it!
What are you most looking forward to in 2020
Most looking forward to running the London Marathon (hoping its not the heatwave that it was the first time I ran it) and also meeting the amazing members of the Brooks Run Happy team, I feel so privileged to invited to be a part of such a supportive, brilliant team!
What are your top 3 tips to stay motivated to run
Enter races/set goals, this always helps me to stay motivated as I feel like I am working towards something.
Run with other people if you can. Having a good chat and a bit of company always helps, especially during the winter months.
Most importantly have fun! Run different routes, mix things up and be proud of what you have achieved!
Very good precepts to run with. When I’m helping our 5k and Beyond runners learn to run, if they say they’re really hating it, once I’ve explained that everyone hates the first mile of a run, I do say that the important thing with exercise is to enjoy it!
